We trekked out to Second Bay, past the wetlands, over sand dunesβfelt like a real hunting expedition! π― Armed with glass jars, bags, and sieves, 30 of us hunted for two hours and snatched up a whopping **3,000 sneaky Nurdles** (those pesky pre-production plastic pellets). π\n\nFor some, it was their first hunt, and those Nurdles were tough to spot in the seaweed and pumice. But once we got our eyes in, they were *everywhere*! π² We made it back to the cars just in time to dodge a downpour.\n\nWhile counting up our Nurdle haul, we also found **over 4,000** other small hard microplastic fragmentsβnasty bycatch of our polluted shores. π₯² Itβs a bittersweet victory, but we're determined to keep fighting this plastic plague! πͺ #NurdleHunt #PlasticPollution #BeachCleanUp"
